Our clinic
The Speech Academy, Inc. was founded by Nicole Gregg-Armaz, M.A., CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist. Nicole’s primary goal in opening The Speech Academy was to give families assistance in understanding their child’s development, especially in the early childhood years, and specifically in regards to speech and language skills. The Speech Academy serves clients in the pediatric population, ranging in ages from birth to fifteen years old. Our biggest joy comes from working with children and their families, and helping them progress in the areas of speech and communication skills. We work extremely hard to collaborate with family members, teachers, other therapists, and members of the community to promote the quickest and most successful outcome from speech-language therapy for each child.

Taking a child-centered approach, we have integrated into each therapy room the tools we feel necessary to engage each child in their particular learning style. Through many years of experience, the therapists at The Speech Academy have learned that each child learns and attends in a different way. Our child-centered approach allows each child to express likes and dislikes, comfort in certain activities, and specific challenges they may face. Therapy sessions may take place on the floor, at a small table, on a bean bag chair, a big yoga ball, or outside in the grass at the local park. The options are endless, and we truly believe that if we capitalize on the child’s interests, we can make quicker progress towards speech and language goals. In-home sessions are available for our Early Intervention population (birth-3 years old, North Bay Regional Center clients).
